The mission of the American Association of Osteopathic Physicians is to share the Osteopathic Principles with the public, support the life commitment to healthcare, provide educational courses for our physicians and other member partners and to promote “The Veterans’ Promise”.

About Us

 

The American Association of Osteopathic Physicians (AmAOP) is a not-for-profit association that represents the interests and commitments of Osteopathic Physicians and their partners to the care and health of their patients.

 

 

The Osteopathic Principles

 

A patient is a whole person made of body, mind and spirit.

 

The body is capable of self-healing and health maintenance.

 

Bodily Structure and function are interrelated.

 

Treatment should be focused on helping the patient’s self-healing capabilities by using the interrelationship of all aspects of a whole person.

The Veterans Promise

 

We, the American Association of Osteopathic Physicians, promise to help the veterans' of the United States military, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard, by offering each veteran one medically related office visit absolutely free of charge, provided by the members of the AmAOP.
