The Veterans’ Promise™

 

We, the American Association of Osteopathic Physicians, promise to help the veterans of the United States armed forces, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard, by offering each veteran one medically related office visit absolutely free of charge, provided by the members of the AmAOP.

 

Our Soldiers and our Veterans are our heroes. We need to remember they are our heroes. Sometimes they are forgotten, sometimes they are neglected and sometimes they are mistreated. When it comes to medical care we can help. I was seeing an older gentleman in my office on December 7th. I said to him “Happy Pearl Harbor Day.” He began to tell me the story of going into Pearl, a few weeks after the attack, on a transport and seeing the sunken ships as he went by. He then said he was shipped out a few days later to Siam. Then he began to sob. He could not continue. He remembered it like it was yesterday.  They just want to know that we remember too.
